Carousel Sushi: Kurazushi

One of my most memorable experiences would be going to a revolving sushi food place during my stay in Japan. The place was called Kurazushi and they sold cheap and delicious sushi. By cheap and I mean 100¥ sushi (in other words 50-60 Philippine pesos) per plate. (〜 ̄▽ ̄)〜

Forgive me whilst I quote Wikipedia: Conveyor belt sushi (回転寿司 kaiten-zushi?) (also called sushi-go-round (くるくる寿司 kuru kuru sushi?)) is the popular English translation for Japanese fast-food sushi. The final bill is based on the number and type of plates of the consumed sushi. Some restaurants use a fancier presentation such as miniature wooden "sushi boats" traveling small canals or miniature locomotive cars.
1. Basically, plates with various kinds of sushi are placed on a rotating conveyor belt and it winds through the restaurant, passing very table and every seat.
2. Customers can place special orders especially those that aren't placed on the belt (like dessert! They have ice cream and cheesecakes. The Japanese love their cheesecakes)
3. Most people (me) just pick from whatever there is on the belt and stack their plates up.  Depending on the the plate as well, the price would vary (I ate a lot of blue printed plate ones cause I was too sissy to get the others).

4. Paying is the fun part! They have little gashappon machines above where you dine and there's a little hatch beneath it. You dump your plates there and every four plates, you watch a little animation on the small TV screen. If you win in the little skit, your prize would roll down from the machine。Voila! Instant prize.
5. I mentioned the TV screen right? The TV screen displays the total plates you have eaten from and a total summation of what you need to pay.
ヾ(@゜∇゜@)ノ☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆
You have the choice to brew your own green tea as well as each table has a hot water faucet  and a jar of matcha. After everything is done, you just stand up and head for the counter; Pay and you are done.
I finished 12 plates. Taishi finished 16. Two of those were desserts.
(ΦωΦIt was my first time tasting REAL wasabi too. Those actual grated ones. They were super spicy. I am not the biggest fan of wasabi but it was sooooo good.

I would definitely visit the place again the next time I come back. It was enjoyable, spending dinner there and just eat a whole lot of sushi without thinking about spending so much. Kurazushi opens around lunchtime if I am not mistaken and closes 10:30 in the evening.
